Gaining Attention

“ Attention, guys. Today we will take an exam.Are you ready ?” 

Have  you ever hear that?

Yup, several of our teacher sometimes use this sentence. This sentence maybe always make me (exactly all students) feel bad. This sentence is example of gaining attention.

Gaining attention is a way or expressions that is spoken so that other people will pay their attention to what we want to. 

Gaining Attention can be used  to show moment somebody. Want to talk the important something. Or one announcement or to need something.

Gaining attention usually use simple present tense.

How to saying   gaining attention :
- Attention please
- May / can I have your attention, please ?
- Excuse me,I need your attention, please ?
- Look here!
- Listen to me, please.

Response :
- Wow, Really?
- I’m listening
- Wow, that’s true
- Wow, that’s great

How to showing attention:

·                 Look at you !

·                 How beautifull !

·                 What's the matter ?

·                 Is everything, all right ?

·                 Oh really ? Is it true ?
