INVITATION

Yup, it is one example of invitation. Invitation is a conversation when you invite someone to do something.

Kinds of invitation:

·        Spoken

·        Written

v Receive invitation :

·        All right

·        I like that

·        I’d love to

·        I’d be happy ? glad to accept

·        Yes, I’d be delighted to

·        Yes, that would be nice

v Refuse invitation :

Announcement

When Aziz and I walk on the corridor, suddenly sound from the speaker says “Attention all the students, today you can go home earlier because we are the teacher have meeting.”

“Yes, I can play PB until 1 o’clock, so my mom don’t know if today the teacher have meeting..” Aziz say so happy.

yup,“attention all the students, today you can go home earlier because we are the teacher have meeting.”.it's announcement by sound,do you know what is announcement?

Announcement is something said,written,or printed to make know what was happened or (more often) what will happen.

In writing an announcement,keep the following point :
-the Title/type of event
Date/time,place

-contact person

Procedure Text

Hmmm, because yesterday my mom made the super special omelette, now i want to tell you how to make it. so, you can taste your’s super special omelette ...

         ingredients:

• 2 large eggs
• 3 Kraft Singles White American cheese
• 2 teaspoons butter

1) Take the two eggs and beat them in a small bowl until the yolks and whites are well mixed.

2) Heat the two teaspoons of butter in a skillet until the butter is hot and sizzling. Make sure the bottom of the skillet is coated with butter.

3) Pour the eggs into the skillet. Let it cook for a while but don't overcook. When it looks like the eggs are almost fully cooked put on the three slices of cheese. When the cheese has melted fold the omlette and turn off the heat.

hey guys, this is procedure text !yup,because this is designed to describe how  something is achieved through a sequence of action or steps.

Guys, this is the generic structure of procedure text :

·         Goal / aim (or title)

·         Materials (not required for all procedural texts)

·         Steps (the actions that must be taken)

This is language features :

·         Use of simple present tense

·         Imperative tense

·         Temporal conjunction : first, second, then, next, finally....

·         Use actions verbs

Recount Text

Last Sunday was so really happy day ! =DD
I woke up so late. It was 10.00 a.m. Long time I waited this moment. All activities in the school made me bored.Because the day was rainy, it made me really enjoyed my time. I just played guitar all the day.

 I felt hungry, so, I went out from my bedroom. I hope I found the food in the kitchen. And… guess what I found... yuuhuuu, it was my favorite food, super special omelette from my mom! Hmm.. It was so delicious! Thanks mom!

After I finished breakfast, I went to my room take a rest (again). Yup, I just played guitar in my room. I played it so long. Suddenly, I got inspiration to made a song. A beautiful song.  “Wow! Today so wonderful! If every day like this, I never go to school” I said in my mind.

This was so nice. Now, every Sunday I hope the day just like this.

Appointment

Ttrrrrriiinnnnnngggg……
hey it’s ringtone from my hand phone, what is going on?
“Hey, do you free on Saturday? I want go to Banjarmasin with you Saturday, can you?”
ooohh, it is my cousin’s message, I think I can go, so I reply him…..
“ ok, I would accompany you.”

Hmmm… unwittingly, I make an appointment with my brad. Yeah, appointment tells about agreement for meeting it is good to make an appointment before you meet or people.

Gaining Attention

“ Attention, guys. Today we will take an exam.Are you ready ?” 

Have  you ever hear that?

Yup, several of our teacher sometimes use this sentence. This sentence maybe always make me (exactly all students) feel bad. This sentence is example of gaining attention.

Greeting

Teacher   : good morning guys. How are you?
Students : good morning . Very well sir , how about you?
Teacher : I’m fine..Let’s start the lesson !
……………………………………………………..
teacher : ok guys, time is over, see you next  Friday..
students : thanks for the lesson, see you !

Yup, it’s example of greeting. We use it every time in our  life, don’t we?
when you meet someone, exactly you need greeting in opening conversation. Greeting also used when you introduce yourself and other people (friend) and when you end a conversation (leave talking).
